A very nice review of The Chillcast just went up on the Calmscape site today, in the article entitled “Portable Chill” contributed by Plattitude:
The Chillcast is an all-podsafe show with a decidedly hip and sunny attitude. Host Anji Bee (who is one half of the chillout band Lovespirals) eases the listener into the music with her sexy, cool voice, and injects each episode with charisma and ambition. With a focus on emerging artists, The Chillcast spins downtempo electronica, nu-jazz, and chilled R&B, soul and worldbeat. Recent shows have featured artists such as Astrid Suryanto, Sunburn in Cypress, Bitter::Sweet, Chill Factor 5, Quinn and Seiji Toda.
Did I say #4 on the opening art? Well, I meant 5. Sheesh! Keep it together, Anji! Anyway, I kinda go off and get really personal in this 5th episode. I guess meeting so many podcasters with so many different podcasting styles really made me think more about why I podcast and how I do it. So, I throw caution to the wind and dare to look unprofessional. Better download it before I change my mind and delete it!
Ryan and Anji hop back in the saddle for a retooled post-PME extravaganza! OK, so they just added an outro song and intro script, but it’s still pretty cool… The band tell how they almost missed the Expo because of Bones, discuss recent song placements, answer fan email, announce upcoming 2007 releases and more!
I’m back from the UnExpo just in time to create a great show for ya’ll! Big shout out to all my PodShow homies I hung out with this weekend! Big ups to Richard, Joe, Tom, and Chris for a great party! Keep you ears and eyes peeled for video interviews I did with Cali of GeekBrief and the Rumor Girls, oh — and be sure to check out the 2nd annual Undition Podsafe Music Rewind #45 for a guest host appearance by Ryan and I and a song from Lovespirals.
