Made up 2 promos for my videoblog this week. Here’s one of ’em. If you like the show, please consider posting this on your blog/site!
By the way, the background music is a remix of the Lovespirals track, “Walk Away,” by Sinq. It won the Peace Love Production remix contest awhile back.
Checking out the new relaunch of the PodShow+ site which now includes the Podsafe Music Network, I noticed that my band, Lovespirals, is dominating the Downtempo Top 10 chart. We currently hold the number 1, 2, and 9 spots. Not too shabby.
We’re actually gearing up to officially add our band podcast, Chillin’ with Lovespirals, to PodShow. I was thinking we could start doing vidcasts, or at least occasional videos, since Podshow makes it so easy to do and offers unlimited bandwidth. It would probably kill us to try and host videos ourselves!
This is certainly an exciting time filled with interesting possibilities…
I get excited about the relaunch of PodShow+ and the possibility of getting more involved with vidcasting, despite my lo-fi set up and little insecurities. Watch for some surprise historical video at the outro! Oh yeah, here’s a link to the YouTube video I mentioned…
I participated in the democratic process today by getting off my ass and voting. Yay, me! I was considering playing the Biddies “Cast that Ballot” on The Chillcast this week, but my listener base is so throughly international that I decided against it. But I hope any Americans reading this did their bit today, too!
Get ready for a pretty sexy episode… Thanks to Macedonia for pointing out some fabulous mainstream artist tracks on the PodShow Music Network this week! By the way, keep your eyes peeled for the unveiling this week of the brand new PodShow+ site with the PMN integrated in – should be super cool!
In another personal episode, Anji muses over the issue of identity as she creates her anjibee.com website. Viewers will be tickled to hear more about her past navigating the various movements of the Los Angeles music scene. OK, yes, this is Anji writing in third person, so sue me/her!
Went down to Bolsa Chica again, and took some photos of the recently completed inlet, which I believe is the final phase of the Bolsa Chica Wetlands Restoration Project. I’m so happy that the developers who were trying to fill in and build on the wetlands were stopped, and not only that, but that the wetlands are now in the process of recovering some of their former glory. Its only been a few weeks since the creation of the inlet, but already the water is cleaner and the birds more abundant. It’s wonderful to see!
