This week I update you on taking over my ex-housemate’s side of the house, talk about my current favorite PS2 game, crack up about the week’s ShowGirls episode, give Clarence a bit of advice, give a brief Lovespirals update, and plug my interview on the Shameless Plugcast OUT TODAY!
On May 29th, Unwind with Anji Bee will present a half hour special feature on Podsafe Music Network artists, Lovespirals and Love Spirals Downwards. Band founder and my musical partner, Ryan Lum, joins me in the studio to discuss the bands 16 year career during one of the most revolutionary periods in music history. Plus the world debut of a brand new track from our upcoming 2007 album.
Please consider playing my promo on your podcast —
With just the four of us left to ourselves, we quickly degenerate into raunchy Urban Dictionary surfing – “Fear Factor” style – we also share our Adam Curry Moments and talk about our families, plus KFC admits to stalking Ellen Degeneres, Natali Del Conte from TeXtra pops in for a visit, and more recent news – including spots on Boned and Shameless Plugcast – from hostesses KFC of PodChick podcast, Karla and Karen from Rumor Girls, and me.
Got some pretty sexy Podsafe Music Network artists in this week’s fantastic mix. Lots of new artists to the show, and one returning under a new name. I think you’ll find that this episode really hits the spot…
Some of you keep up with my Twitter account, I know, and on Friday evening I twittered that I was in the mood to go out for a nice dinner and a drink. Monday, here I am blogging that, indeed, I did get out for a nice meal and a glass of wine with Ryan, and boy, did I need it! I was planning to see a French comedy playing across the street afterwards, but we were feeling chill, so we watched Tony Takitani on DVD instead. What a great film. Of course, with the story based on Haruki Murakami and a sound track by Ryuichi Sakamoto, I knew it had to be good. Here, let me share a song from the movie with ya’ll…
Oooh, good thing Ryan reminded me about The Chillcast tonight, or you might not be listening to this until tomorrow! Lots of great new releases, plus an older track that was sent in from the artist on CD. I’ve also got a second special permissions track from Nymph cued up for ya. Can you tell I’m a bit sleepy right now? YAWWNNN…
Feeling a bit spunkier this week, with the aid of major medications. I chat about how the Santa Ana winds affect my mood, catching up on work, my housemate moving out, my visit to the doctor, and Anaphalatic Shock, plus a special message just for Julien Smith. What’s that I’m putting in my nose, you ask? Watch to find out!
Guess what they say is true! Though it really hasn’t rained much in So Cal. Just enough to bring back my wildflower seeds from last year, luckily! Its lovely to see natural beauty in the midst of urban sprawl.
This week’s mix of Podsafe Music Network artists is a bit heavy on the piano. Why? I dunno, it just sounded good. I’m even more sick this week; I need my TylenolPM to help get a bit of sleep. Wish me health for next week!
Not sure if I’m coming or going these days! Last week I skipped #62, going straight to episode 63, but nobody seemed to notice… I even had an extra playlist of songs in my iTunes, now how did that happen? Anyhow, I’ve got another nice long half hour of downtempo goodness, designed for your chillin’ pleasure, and an execellent piece of good Chillcast news!
