And some empathy coming your way from Houston - I'm in the middle of house hunting, and looking at old (1920s and 1930s) bungalows in my cool historic neighborhood near downtown, and I keep running into knob and tube wiring! You can barely get insurance on a house with it here, because of the issues if anything covers it. I know it's no small job to replace it (I've looked into it)! Good luck!
