Got a groovy mix of downtempo electronica, world beat, electropop, and indie rock that’ll soothe ya and groove ya like only The Chillcast can. I share one of my recent musical fixations, dedicate a track, welcome two guest spots, and announce next week’s 1 hour special feature.
This week’s episode is a half-hour feature on Podsafe Music Network artists, Rebecca Haviland and Ekocam, who just released the transatlantic collaborative album, Three Thousand Miles. We preview tracks from this brand new CD and more as Rebecca and Chris discuss their music in this special artist spotlight for Unwind.

The Chillcast is back to it’s full half hour glory! I’ve got so many treats for you this week that it’s almost an embarrassment of riches, including some exclusive tracks to the show, and a mini-spotlight on Rebecca Haviland and Ecokam, who are the subjects of this Tuesday’s Unwind artist spotlight!

Finishing up production on Rebecca & Chris' artist spotlight for next Tuesday’s Unwind, and it is sounding pretty cool. They sent me more tracks from their brand new album, Three Thousand Miles, and it’s really good stuff! I had no idea she was working on such electronica based stuff. This feature would have worked just as well on The Chillcast! She’s come a long way from the more traditional jazz and AOR sound of her first album. I like both sides of her music, though, and totally relate to wanting to try new things. My work with Lovespirals is the same way. Anyway, watch for this special feature on May 1st at unwind.podshow.com!
This just in! The duo will also hold a CD giveaway contest as part of the feature - woo hoo!

"Anji Bee has the sexiest voice in podcasting!"
-- Adam Curry of Daily Source Code
"Anji's sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet voice... I remember the first time I ever heard her, way back in the day, I said she could read me a Chinese menu or the phone book and I would be all happy!"
-- C.C. Chapman of Accident Hash
"Anji's voice wouldn't be out of place in a smoky jazz or blues bar somewhere down in a dimly lit cellar. Sultry with a voice like syrupy silky satin with a marshmallow middle and a honey topping."
-- Most Recognizable Voices in Podcasting, Sept. 2007
"Cosiness abounds as the silken voiced Anji Bee - lead singer of chillout band Lovespirals - pours a cocktail of mellow dance music. Mmm..."
-- Radio Times, July 2007
"If you're looking for a different brand of 'grown and sexy' in the podcast world, check out Anji Bee. This young lady is bringing it - from production, to her voice, to the music selection - she is doing her thazizzle!"
-- Fave of Friday Favecast
"No other voice in the podosphere is more sultry than Anji Bee."
-- Macedonia, Radio BSOTS
"Anji Bee, a musician and former radio DJ, gives "stage" to artists who might not otherwise be discovered. Bee's podcast exposes me to independent artists I've never heard of, and subscribing to it eliminates the need to forage for new music."
- La Shawn Barber's Corner
"Enjoying The Chillcast. It's seriously awesome. I listen to them like over and over again."

"I just love the tunes Anji Bee selects and her comments on them. I no longer have to search for music to be creative; I just susbcribe to The Chillcast."
-- Karen of Rumor Girls
"Like having a cocktail of lovely tunes and honey poured directly into your ear. Well-chosen music, voice links that make you feel cosy inside, it all adds up to an essential weekly download."
-- Good Podcast Guide, Nov 2006
"If you're in the mood for chillout music, this should be your first stop. Her voice alone is the perfect complement for a long drive or any escape from the hectic rush of everday life. You're gonna love it."
