Happy Healthy Vegan Vidcast Launched

Ryan Lum of Lovespirals recently launched a new site and video show called Happy Healthy Vegan, with the help of bandmate, Anji Bee. This mid-40’s duo share tips and information on their active vegan lifestyle, hoping to help their fans, friends, and family understand the connection between a plant-based, whole food diet and a healthy mind and body. After trial and error, moving from a standard American diet, to a vegetarian diet, to a vegan diet, to a raw diet, and finally honing in on their current 80/10/10 styled diet, Ryan was able to lose 70 pounds — while Anji lost 25 pounds — and both became much fitter and more youthful in the process. Begun in February 2013, this project is just getting started, but a number of episodes are already available on the Happy Healthy Vegan YouTube channel, so please subscribe to learn how to lose weight effortlessly while never going hungry, increase your energy, clear up your skin, and improve your overall fitness.

This young Los Angeles singer/songwriter/dancer is set to release her debut album on RCA this year, but she’s already released 2 amazing free albums independently as “mixtapes.” From her 2012 mixtape, Reverie, this is the sexy video for “Ecstasy.” This song was produced by K-BeatZ, while the video was directed by Smallz and Raskind. It All Dies Anyway: L.A., Jabberjaw, and the End of an Era Book Released

A new “coffee table” book collecting stories and ephemera from the infamous LA underground club, Jabberjaw, has been released by Rizzoli Publishing. Anji Bee’s zine SUBSTITUTION had many ties to the club, having been sold at their concessions stand to club patrons, and the zine itself featured a number of show reviews and photographs taken there. Anji and her partner, Sam, even organized an event at Jabberjaw to launch the second issue of SUBSTITUTION. As such, Anji contributed a number of photographs and show flyers — as well as some text — to this archival book organized by club co-owner, Michelle Carr, and assembled by Bryan Ray Turcotte. Note: The original mix of this song appears on the 2011 Karmacoda album, Eternal, as well as a single released that same year. The single also includes a radio edit. The radio edit is the version included on the limited edition blue vinyl release of Eternal. Also of note is that Anji re-recorded her vocals for this new version of the song, whereas Beth, B, and Heather’s vocals are all taken from the original recordings. Anji arranged the vocal samples for the Lovespirals mix, set to new music created by Ryan Lum, including lovely dream pop guitar work..
