This month’s episode of The Chillcast with Anji Bee is being featured once again on the front page of Mevio, along with a video clip of Anji on Mevio Today. Bryan Ford’s “Here All Along (Feat. Ava Fain)” plays in the background as Anji announces the episode. Check it out below or directly from the Mevio site at meviotoday.mevio.com.
I just discovered Bryan Ford‘s music from a new comp called, Organica Lounge, released on his own label, Revolutionary Music. I was so taken by his soulful, jazzy song “Here All Along” – with vocalist Ava Fain, from the band Bumpus – that I’m featuring it on both this month’s vidcast and this week’s audio podcast! This is perfect summertime chillout music, and the video – directed by Andy Shipsides – is gorgeous. The Here All Along Single includes remixes by K Ford, Goulet (whom Ford has been performing live with), Sergio de Blanc, and Ford himself. Subscribe free to The Chillcast with Anji Bee to hear more from this great compilation over the new few weeks!

At long last, I present another video edition of The Chillcast! I originally recorded an intro and outro in late March, but had some tech trouble with the video. With all that hammered out, please enjoy this very cool and colorful video released last year by Exceptional Records for a super catchy collaboration between Chicago’s Waveplant and Gothenburg’s Ernesto. This is the original mix of “(I Need A) Bassline” available on the Waveplant & Ernesto “(I Need A) Bassline EP” on iTunes Special thanks to Bob at Exceptional for sending me the video! For more great tunes, listen to my Chillcast Exceptional Spotlight podcast from April 2007.
Hungry Lucy return to Chillcast Video for the third time, in celebration of the release of their highly anticipated 4th album, Pulse of the Earth. I’ve got an intriguing video promo for the new album, as well as a vintage video of their song, “Softly,” from the 2004 album, To Kill A King. This video is a free download from the short-lived Hungry Lucy Vidcast series, Video To Go. Check out more videos on Hungry Lucy’s YouTube account.
Be sure to visit the official Pulse of the Earth site to stream every song from the album, view more album photographs, and to buy the album. Listen to the Tea with Hungry Lucy podcast to hear the back stories on making the album and much more about the band and their inspirations. You can buy the To Kill A King CD and more from Hungry Lucy’s Webstore.

I am super excited to present the world premier debut video from my band, Lovespirals! Ryan Lum and I have been creating music together for the past decade, but this is the first time we’ve ever released a music video. I created it myself using HD footage we filmed at the beautiful Newport Back Bay estuary, combined with footage from the ride home after mastering our new album, Future Past, in Northern California. I’m also excited because Ryan and I recorded a brand new version of The Chillcast theme song — which is now smoother than ever — plus I gave the Chillcast Video a new look and feel, from the intro, to the audio, to the show logo. Basically, I’ve been a very busy bee the past few weeks! I really hope you enjoy it all and look forward to your comments. Today’s video is for the song “Home” from Future Past released on iTunes Jan. 1st. Become a fan of Lovespirals on Facebook to interact with the band and fans or just follow Lovespirals on Twitter to keep up with the latest news.
Just popping in via video to wish you all a Happy New Year and to talk about some of the things I am working on for 2010. Gosh! Can you believe it’s already 2010? It sounds so futuristic… But then again, could we have imagined we’d be communicating like this 10 years ago? I was still having trouble uploading 64k mp3s via dialup, for crying out loud! Its absolutely unreal how much the internet has evolved the past decade, and I’m sure we’ll see even more evolution over the next decade. Hopefully you’ll still be following my content stream. Thanks again for your support and love!
