Lovely Ladies Episode 1: New Show!

The debut episode of my new show celebrating the female voice in music! From pop and rock, to jazz and soul, to electronica and world music, I’ve scoured the Internet to bring you a magical mix of Podsafe music featuring female vocals. I just put the show together, so it’s not on iTunes yet. Just give it a few days and check back for the subscription link — pretty please? [update: Lovely Ladies is on iTunes now!]

I can never get enough Anji! Really excited about the new show. I love the variety. Great Chillcast this week, too!

  2. Japester says:

Great mix. I adore The Chillcast, but it’s great that Anji has this looser framework in which to showcase anything on her mind. I’ve always thought that female-featured shows are a great idea. C.C. did it way back and it really clicked.

Dig the new show. So many great songs. You are catching up with Mr. Laporte with so many podcasts!

Thanks so much for including Hungry Lucy on the first episode as well… much appreciated :)

you have got to be the busiest woman in podcasting right now. if not, then you’re certainly in the running.

thank you for bringing this show back for the podosphere to enjoy. love the varying moods in this episode. my favorite cut was the Karen Dalton piece. i was introduced to her through a Prefuse 73 album: he sampled “are you leaving for the country” for a song of his. gotta check out that Light In The Attic reissue…

consider me a faithful listener to this show. great first episode. keep ‘em comin’…
