Did you realise that iTunes has recently dropped its price for iTunes Plus songs to .99c? Some indie labels have also now got DRM-free material, so it’s progressed beyond EMI.
Indie artists like you could help turn the tide against DRM on iTunes. I see the next logical step is for completely unaffiliated artists to go iTunes Plus. Just keep asking Apple.
256kbps AAC is a bit better than 256kbps MP3, because it’s a more efficient compression scheme. As an iTunes expert, I also appreciate the extra tags that can be applied to AAC files.
I’m not into social media. I do comment on blogs and podcasts that I care about but I can’t be bothered with MySpace, Facebook, etc. I never really got into these sites and before I could, I suddenly felt overrun with what seemed like a new variant every week. I’m too busy tending my media library to care.
I just heard the part where you answered my questions. Brilliant answers! I’ve tagged “Old Kazoo Blues” in iTunes and now I totally see the old-school references on “Free & Easy”. I should have seen that, although I thought you might have included the CD logo deliberately. I love those old, verbose covers!
