Thanks so much to everyone who nominated The Chillcast with Anji Bee for the best produced Podsafe music podcast for the People’s Choice Podcast Awards! I am now one of 10 shows vying for this year’s awards. Woo hoo! The voting begins today — July 28th — and continues until August 11th. Turns out that you can vote once every 24 hours. So pretty please, stop by podcastawards.com and lay a vote — or 10 — on me!

Please nominate The Chillcast with Anji Bee in the Podsafe Music category for the People’s Choice Podcast Awards 2007. Sure, my buddy C.C. Chapman may very well win again this year, but I’d love to just be in the running! Nominations close July 15th, so act fast or forever hold your peace.
Amidst the flurry of talk about Sirius and XM satellite merging, it has been announced that PodShow is no longer with Sirius. I only just joined Adam Curry’s PodShow lineup this January, so it isn’t as near and dear to my heart as it is to the core group, but it is still a bit disappointing. Honestly, I have no idea if anyone was really tuning in to the radio broadcast or not… As Julien Smith warned me, listeners never seem to email or comment on blogs, but as Marcus Couch pointed out to me, bands and labels seem to be impressed by the dual delivery system of the shows. And when you tell family or friends you’re “on Sirius” they seem to be impressed as well. So I guess I’ve basically lost some bragging points and some extra work. You may not have realized it, but even my show was edited a bit each week to fit the Sirius format and window. So now I can go back to a full 30 minute show if I like! There’s got be a silver lining to every cloud, right?
Just ran across a funny review of The Chillcast from February. The writer says I’m so relaxed that, “like, gosh, it must be hard for Anji to lift her finger to press the record button.” Hmm…
Electronic music podcast, solipsisticNATION, just released this awesome special collaborative episode based on the Surrealist technique known as Exquisite Corpse. You guys know I love 20’s-30’s literature and lifestyle, particularly French, so of course I was quite excited to participate! Turns out my pals Jules and Jason participated, too. Bonus! Check out the full shownotes on Joe’s site — solipsisticnation.com.
Just thought I’d make a quick post to remind everyone that The Chillcast will be delayed 1 day this week in order to sync up the Sirius listeners with the podcast listeners for my special Paul & Price feature and CD giveaway contest. Please check back on Tuesday January 23rd !
Podcast Alley is featuring me front page for their 6.5 Questions interviews. You’ll see I answered the questions a few weeks back, as I said I’d done only 8 vidcasts at the time (I’m currently at 14)… That plus I’d now rank In Over Your Head in my top 3 regular podcasts.

It’s official! The Chillcast with Anji Bee is now part of Adam Curry’s PodShow block on Sirius Stars 102. My first episode airs Tuesday January 2, 2007 at 10:00 pm PST. I will be followed by my pals Karen and Karla AKA Rumor Girls, which is really cool. We’re actually working on a little something for next year as well, but I can’t announce it just yet… If you don’t currently have Sirius Satellite Radio, you can take advantage of their current offer. BTW, fellow Sirius Stars host, Deepak Chopra, posted a top 10 list of tips to take the stress out of the holidays that I found pretty helpful.
The Chillcast with Anji Bee will once again be featured on PodShow’s block of programming for Sirius Stars 102 on Tuesday December 12, 2006. In the spirit of the holiday season, I will be spinning a mix of Electronica and Indie Pop Christmas and winter themed tunes. Fun times. I understand Adam Curry will be making a guest appearance, as well… For those that can not tune in, I will be uploading my set as a podcast in the next few days, so check back for that!
