I am super proud to present the latest Lovespirals song!
Extremely chill vibes with super smooth production, “Why Not Today?” pulls from from Lovespirals’ r&b/soul side with a little jazz and blues twist. Melancholic, dreamy, and filled with soft yearning for a better time and place, the video is a lovely reminder of the healing power of nature, even in this time of human disconnection and unease. I created the music video, as well as wrote the lyrics, performed the vocals, and aided in the songwriting and production.
The “Why Not Today?” single is a Bandcamp exclusive. This single also includes a download of the music video, shot at gorgeous Crystal Cove beach in Southern California.
Ryan & I hope this single will bring you some joy! 💙🌀

Positive Influence Tee By Youngblood Records
Youngblood Records recently released a t-shirt featuring a doodle I drew for my late 80’s straight edge hardcore fanzine, Positive Influence. This was taken from issue #4, released February 1988. The first run of this “Scene News” design was on a goldenrod tee to match the color of this issue’s cover, but this new run in pink is super cute. If you want a piece of Anji Bee OR straight x edge history, pickup this limited edition tee while you still can! Available at shop.youngblood-records.com

New Keurich Remix of “Goodbye” Out Now!
A cool remix of my classic song “Goodbye” has been released on the new ‘Start Again… Remix Album‘ by The Morphism. This mix by Keurich is definitely tougher sounding than the original 2000 recording created by Moondawg and I for our Dreamzone 51 project, or the better known version created with Rom Di Prisco for Bitstream Dream in 2001. Even though I had rerecorded my vocals for Bitstream Dream, The Morphism version utilized even newer recordings — with an added chorus refrain, bridge, and outro –which is what’s sampled for this remix. Hard to believe sometimes how long I have been doing music for. It’s nice to know that some folks out there still enjoy my early work! Thanks to both producers for making this happen.
“Goodbye (Keurich Remix” by The Morphism and Anji Bee is also available on Apple Music.
Karmacoda “My Love (Lovespirals Remix)” Out
Lovespirals have a new collaboration with San Francisco band, Karmacoda out now. B invited Anji and her partner, Ryan Lum, to remix a track from their 2018 album, Intimate. “My Love” featuring the band’s new vocalist Jessica Ford, was the perfect fit for Lovespirals’ chill downtempo vibes. Jessica’s deeper vocal range makes an interesting contrast to Anji’s breathily ethereal backing vocals and Ryan’s production added a compelling dreaminess to the song.
Karmacoda Revealed (Intimate Remixes) is available on all digital platforms now.

Anji Bee On ‘Living Generation’ LP by THE MORPHISM
The Morphism just released a new album dedicated to Canadian composer Saki Kaskamanidis (aka Captain Ginger) who sadly passed away in late 2016. Living Generation is an old-school electronics and rock album that takes one back to the time of the original Sony PlayStation and classic Need For Speed games. Anton Gagarin of The Morphism founded the “Romulus Club” Internet community in 2010 to promote and work of Rom Di Prisco and Bitstream Dream, whom Saki and Anji were both a part of. He’s done an excellent job of keeping the old content alive, as well as continuing the collaborative project’s legacy with new projects like this. The 15 track album includes his versions of Anji Bee’s classic Bitstream Dream songs “Love Me Leave Me” and “Good Bye.” While the former had previously been released, the latter is an exclusive to this LP and features totally new vocal recordings with additional lyrics. You can read the more about history of this song on the “Good Bye” lyrics page.

Living Generation by The Morphism is also on Apple Music.
