The band announce the 1 yr anniversary of the podcast (a month late), share some So Cal heatwave survival tips, review several recent films, discuss the licensing of their music on TV and cable for fitness related shows, chat about LaLa.com, read fan email, and more
I’ve got a heatwave chill out session for ya with a mix of mellow and upbeat tunes from the Podsafe Music Network, MySpace, and Promonet. It’s too hot to talk, so lemme let the music speak for me!
Happy Rhodes “Tragic” Many Worlds Are Born Tonight (1998) - PMN
The Shanghai Restoration Project “Pudong New District” Reinterpretations (2006) - Download “Pudong New District” from Promonet
So I wandered over to CNET’s music.download.com and was thrilled to find a show’s worth of really high quality free downloads. I started in the Trip Hop section, then slowly branched out into the Electronica genre. I haven’t even tapped into the Jazz or R&B sections yet, but even so, I think I’ve got a pretty sweet mix of chilled styles for ya on this “turning legal age” show.
Glen the Owl “I Don’t Want to Fight Tonight” Glen the Owl (2005)
Spyritual “Silence” Wall of Soul (2005) -
Josh One “Awaken” Narrow Faith (2004) -
Bitter::Sweet “The Mating Game” The Mating Game (2006) -
This is my first post-Podshow+ podcast, and it’s a goodie. I just drank a Mojito made with my own homegrown yerba buena, so I’m a tad tipsy, but hey, this IS The Chillcast, after all… Hopefully the show will go up on iTunes automagickally, if things go as I believe they are supposed to! I couldn’t get the shownotes tool to work on either of my Mac browsers (Safari or Firefox) but I’m hoping this Windows box will do the trick. They say 3rd time’s a charm, whatever that means!
