‘Put Some Music On EP’ Out Now

Anji Bee’s first single from her upcoming debut solo album was recently released by 3345 Music. The Put Some Music On EP includes The Grooveblaster mix from his latest album, Out Of The Past (which AcidTed described as, “a bit wee small hours, smokier and sleazier” than the original mix), plus a dubby mix by 3345 Music’s own 3C, and 2 brand new remixes by Intensity of Sound, the project of veteran German dance producers, Marcel Grasmück and Kay Praag. The Intensity of Sound “Retro Funk Mix” hit #2 on the Traxsource Lounge Essential 20 list in December and #16 on the Juno Recommends Downtempo list for January, whereas DJ Oxide at Resident Advisor and Urbnet’s Jackhouse Magazine listed the full Put Some Music On EP at #2 on his Top 10 Picks for January 2012.

Promo from 3345 Music:

A seriously sultry voice oozes soul and emotion. “Put Some Music On” describes the proper end to a day… Anji Bee brings it to life in a cinematic setting.

Intensity of Sound’s Retro Funk Mix – Recalling the Lisa Stansfield era, Intensity of Sound delivers a fresh take on a retro feeling.

Original Version – The impeccable production and Anji’s tremendous vocal range drive a downbeat trip to downtown.

Intensity of Sound Deep House Excursion – A moment moving past too fast, Intensity of Sound captures the vibe and groove.

The Grooveblaster Mix – With a jazzy combination of guitar and groove, the Grooveblaster creates his own masterpiece.

3C Ragga Club Mix – A left turn into the deepest of beats and bass, a totally down nightmare not on wax…

absolutely loving it. So glad I’m discovering you and your works. With much trash on the radio these days..your work, vocals, podcasts..so refreshing. Funny thing is I was visiting San Diego recently…and had your podcasts saved and grooved to them as I visited Coronado, Encinitas, La Jolla..and various other exit ramps off of I-5 as I just cruised and enjoyed the scenery.
