Its an embarrassment of riches over here at Chillcast studio, as I’ve totally hit a motherlode of great new music! I absolutely can not get enough of the new Ernesto/Motorcitysoul EP, but then again, I can never get enough Ernesto in general. LOL! I introduce a bunch of new bands to the show this week, so you’re sure to discover something you love. I can’t quite pin down the overall sound of the mix; genres these days are so splintered and complex I don’t even know what I’m playing half the time! But you’ll recognize the feel – a little deep, a little downtempo, a little dub – some with vox, and some instrumental. Its a sophisticated set designed to engage the brain as much as the body. Enjoy!

Adam Loves Anji (Again) on DSC

After an extended hiatus – over a year in, fact – Adam Curry has revived his popular Daily Source Code podcast. Hurrah! Though not as religious a follower as some of the more rabid Curry fans out there, I was a fairly regular listener as well as a contributor to the show. I was drawn in initially by my interest in his then-brand-new Podsafe Music Network (now known as Mevio’s Music Alley), and was thrilled when Adam played the Bitstream Dream remix of “Walk Away” by my band, Lovespirals. I sent in some audio feedback, which Adam played and responded to, and thus began our mutual online love affair. LOL! It seems strange to me now that many of Adam’s fans once referred to me as “Adam’s Girlfriend” when they ran into me in Second Life or elsewhere online.

Daily Source Code Features Beth Hirsch

Adam Curry just played “Our Song” by Beth Hirsch on his Daily Source Code Fubar Friday Edition this week on my recommendation. I’d been trying to turn him onto Beth Hirsch’s Podsafe Music Network page for a few weeks and finally hit upon the perfect track from her new album, Wholehearted, for his show. Luckily, Beth was gracious enough to grant this song podsafe status for Adam’s use. As an added twist to the story, I sent my 2nd request to Adam via his Official Musicologist, Jersey Todd, whom I suspected would love Beth, as well. Looks I was right on both counts! Now, the funny part of the story is that after all my finagling, that nut Adam told his audience the song request came via “the incredibly desirable but ever unreachable Anji Bee.” Huh?

Beth is an amazing singer/songwriter and I absolutely love her new album! I’m a big supporter of her music on The Chillcast and want to spread the love. Anji Bee guests on various podcasts

I’ve been popping up on various podcasts lately, which is always fun. Today Adam Curry played my new Help PodShow Suck Less theme song on Daily Source Code #615, yesterday my audio feedback intrigued Eric on Let’s Get Naughty #35, and Tuesday my boy Clarence opened Do You Know Clarence #11 with a special drop I recorded for him. Earlier this week, I introduced “Motherless Child” by my band, Lovespirals, on Sunday Sundown #24 and Ryan and I both introduced the same song for C.C. Chapman’s Accident Hash #231. Come to think of it, I was also on Daily Source Code #613 with a reply to Adam’s crack that I “sent a naked picture.” Sigh… As if, Adam!

Adam Curry played our version of “Motherless Child” on his Daily Source Code today, which I just made available for podcasting on his Podsafe Music Network. He also commented that I had emailed him a “nude” photo of myself and a friend… Thought I’d go ahead and share that pic with the world, just to set the record straight. Sexy? Maybe. Nude? Hardly…
