Chillcast #129: Natalie Walker CD Winners!

Its a return to form this week with a relaxing mix of chillout tunes with both female AND male vocals. Yes, I do like male vocals, for those that have asked! I’ve also got the winners of the Natalie Walker CD contest this week, care of Dorado Records and IODA Promonet. Hey, I hope you all have updated your iTunes and are checking out the Genius feature. We want to make sure indie music is representing out there! I’m already getting some pretty cool playlists generated and I’m excited to see how they’ll evolve over time. BTW, I lied when I said I’d have 1 free download this week; I’ve got several for you to enjoy!

You made mention of your love of music-based games like Rez and Frequency. I hope you’ve had a chance to check out Audiosurf (http://www.audio-surf.com/); it uses your own music library and lets you ride it, much like Rez. Highly, highly recommended.

Hi Angie,

In episode 129 you played “Oir Es Asprender”. It’s a great tune. Although I didn’t understand the words, I immediately recognized the melody. It sounds like it’s a tribute song to Emerson Lake and Palmer’s 1973 hit “From the Beginning”. By the way, I believe the correct spelling (according to Google) is “Oir Es Aprender”.

Thanks for producing some great podcast material. I’ve been listening to you for almost a year.
