Post-Valentine’s Day episode! I know, you probably thought I forgot about you guys, right? Nah. I’m back with more off the cuff observations and personal tidbits. In fact, this is probably one of the most revealing episodes yet. (No, CSB, I don’t show any cleavage…) I tell you about my Valentine’s Day, Monster’s stinky cat box, Coffee with Crayon, my weekly date, and The Painted Veil, as well as debate “am I sweet or not?”, reveal how I found time to podcast, and other probing issues. Ha!

My new show is bi-something…

I’m sitting here trying to figure out whether to announce my new podcast, Lovely Ladies, as “biweekly” or “bimonthly” to indicate that it will happen every other week. Looking up both words on the Apple dashboard dictionary is no help at all! Apparently, both words are ambiguous. Biweekly can mean either every other week or twice a week, and bimonthly can mean twice a month or every two months. Drats! Perhaps I should call it “fortnightly”?

Anji sings on new Moosefrog release

Moosefrog After nearly a year of procrastination, I spent the past two days recording vocals for two new songs to be included on Moosefrog‘s upcoming 3rd release for Lo-Kiwi. If you haven’t heard of Lo-Kiwi, you should definitely check them out! They’re a commercial free Creative Commons label with a great roster of downtempo, electro, nu-jazz, and idm artists. This will be my first time working with Moosefrog, so I’m kinda excited to see how it all turns out. It’s been awhile since I’ve done an online musical collaboration.

Superbowl Sunday

Yesterday I attended Stuporbowl 2007, a very fun party that’s become a tradition with the B-Siders. Last year it didn’t happen because the bowling alley they’d been having it at for years was closed down, but this year a few kind folks put together a new venue that was bigger and better, near LAX. The football is really just an excuse to get together, the DJs, dancing, theme costumes and bowling take center stage. The partying was definitely a lot more low-key than when I first started going in the 90’s, but it was great to catch up with some folks I hadn’t seen in ages! Almost forgot — it was so crazy to see Kevin Rose in the GoDaddy commerical!!! He is so cute…
