Since my Twitter friends asked me to post this “outtake” video, here it is.. The strange sound that catches my attention while filming my Chillcast Video Edition intro was actually a tree falling on my roof! The whole house shook and the sound was much louder than my directional mic captures. The tree is currently just chillin’ against my roof, which sustained very little damage. The winds are howling like mad, and I’m totally trippin’, but the tree guy said he wouldn’t come out until the morning. 🙁

I contributed vocals and lyrics to what will be a special “hidden” track on the upcoming new album by German band, Chandeen. Entitled Teenage Poetry, the 12 song disc is due out March 2008 on Chandeen’s own Kalinkaland label. As a free album preview for fans, the band are uploading one song per week (or so) to their MySpace page. This will be the first new Chandeen album in 5 years.
I gave my first talk in Second Life tonight for the monthly Blogger & Podcaster Magazine meetup. The crowd was quite warm and receptive, asking questions after my general talk about the lifepath that led to me being a podcaster. I was pretty nervous, I have to admit, and I think what surprised them most was my admission that I am sick of hearing myself talk after so much time spent promoting the new Lovespirals album. 😛
