Chillcast Feature on Paul Mac Innes

Singer/songwriter, Paul Mac Innes, is the focus of this week’s special Chillcast artist feature. Paul and I chat about all of his various musical projects and collaborations as we peruse his catalog of tunes from 2005 to the present day. As an extra special treat, Paul shares a brand new unreleased Psaul project track with us. Chillcast #288: Haunting

Chillcast #284: Equinox Mix

This week we explore some of the trippier new releases that I’ve been diggin’ but wasn’t sure how to fit in between chillout lounge and deep house. This is a chill set featuring intriguing vocals — many with interesting use of reverb or delay — and plenty of mood. The second half goes more soulful, with a heavy Swedish influence. I think this mix sounds really summery with distinct hints of late night vibe. Turn on your lava lights for this one! Oh, and be sure to grab the amazing free downloads included below.

Chillcast #273: Male Vocals

As I was putting together this week’s playlist, I noticed that I had a plethora of male vocal tunes in the mix. As its historically been rather rare to hear male vocals in electronica, I thought I’d capitalize on this opportunity to features all male vocals this episode. And oh, what nice vocals they are! From playfully soulful to moody and dark, this mix runs the gamut. Overall, though, I’d say there’s a preponderance of dreamy tunes in this set.
