Its that time again… time to check out Anji Bee’s favorite podsafe songs released during the year of 2009! And yes, I am speaking in 3rd person. LOL! Every track in this over 90 minute set was played on The Chillcast last year at some point. Keep in mind, now, these are ONLY podsafe tunes — no special permissions tracks. The show continues this week with more lovely last-of-summer Latin-infused chillout. This time around, however, we travel beyond the sounds of Brazil to include artists from Argentina, Venezuela, Spain, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. Plus there are a few folks from the US, Canada, and Europe that have a Latin flair. I’ve really been loving the past two mixes, but I do promise to get back to a more standard format next show.

I’ve been told several times this week that I’m “passionate” and while that word might hold different connotations for different people, I would have to say that it could well be the one word that sums me up best. This show is one of my passions as I am very passionate about music and passionate about sharing new music that I feel will inspire passion in your lives. I don’t know about you, but when I hear a really good song, a particularly poignant lyric, a soulfully melodic riff, well, it’s a whole lot like falling in love. I was torn between titling this one “Classic Chillout,” “Classic Chillcast,” or “Lovely Ladies.” Today’s show is exactly that, a classic Chillcast mix of lovely chillout tunes with Internationally diverse female vocals. My favorite! I’ve had quite a few high quality trance tracks sent in recently, but this week I was really in more of a mellow mood so what we’ve got here is a nice collection of downtempo, lounge, worldbeat, r&b, and one little drum & bass tune for good measure.
