Chillcast #178: Classic Chillout

I was torn between titling this one “Classic Chillout,” “Classic Chillcast,” or “Lovely Ladies.” Today’s show is exactly that, a classic Chillcast mix of lovely chillout tunes with Internationally diverse female vocals. My favorite! I’ve had quite a few high quality trance tracks sent in recently, but this week I was really in more of a mellow mood so what we’ve got here is a nice collection of downtempo, lounge, worldbeat, r&b, and one little drum & bass tune for good measure. Enjoy, baby!

Thanks a lot for pushing through the ennui and delivering the weekly shot of chill.

I bought the Paul & Price. They are offering it in lossless format through their site. I jumped at that. Lossless for about the price that it would be on iTunes. Album art is missing though, but I was able to download it from iTunes despite the EP not being present at the time I tried it. I think more artists will go this way. I’ve bought a few like this recently: the new Dandy Warhols “The Dandy Warhols Are Sound”, their cover of “Blackbird” (they made good on their threat at the beginning of “Monkey House”!) and “Kind of Bloop”. Finally lossless is seen as a viable alternative to producing CDs. The whole trying-to-conserve-bandwidth mentality is clearing.

Got it. Thanks. You are in rare form in August – each week is a really great mix! I am especially enjoying the August shows.

Great vocals and each song is unique.

Love Merge of Equals and Medatronic.

Cool World music and instrumentals too.
