What? 2 podcasts in 1 month! Can it be? Ryan and Anji are back with plenty of stories including setting up and testing out the band’s new vocal set up on several musical collaborations and a new side project, attending the recent Air and AM show at Disney Concert Hall, making archival Lovespirals radio interviews and features available on the new Lovespirals Mixcloud account, (apparently) confused fans on the new Love Spirals Downwards Facebook page, chat about the upcoming Beth Hirsh show, plus Ryan shares a really nice fan email from Alex of Corpus Christi, and Anji plays the podsafe AM song, “Darker Days,” from his latest album, Future Sons & Daughters. Lovespirals is the musical project of musician, Ryan Lum, and vocalist, Anji Bee – your humble Chillcast hostess… We’ve just released our 4th full-length album, Future Past, on our own label, Chillcuts. A limited edition 6 panel eco-friendly digipac was pre-released over the 2009 winter holiday via the Lovespirals webstore, where Ryan and I personally autograph CDs by request from fans — and as a special treat, we have been including a free high-quality mp3 download with all CD sales for instant listening gratification. The official release of Future Past, however, was January 1, 2010 when it launched on iTunes and Amazon.

Daily Source Code Features Beth Hirsch

Adam Curry just played “Our Song” by Beth Hirsch on his Daily Source Code Fubar Friday Edition this week on my recommendation. I’d been trying to turn him onto Beth Hirsch’s Podsafe Music Network page for a few weeks and finally hit upon the perfect track from her new album, Wholehearted, for his show. Luckily, Beth was gracious enough to grant this song podsafe status for Adam’s use. As an added twist to the story, I sent my 2nd request to Adam via his Official Musicologist, Jersey Todd, whom I suspected would love Beth, as well. Looks I was right on both counts! Now, the funny part of the story is that after all my finagling, that nut Adam told his audience the song request came via “the incredibly desirable but ever unreachable Anji Bee.” Huh?

Beth is an amazing singer/songwriter and I absolutely love her new album! I’m a big supporter of her music on The Chillcast and want to spread the love. If you haven’t heard it already, be sure to check out my Beth Hirsch interview feature from last October, or the Chillcast Video Edition featuring Beth Hirsch from December.
