The first artist ever to grace the vidcast returns for their 3rd time with their 3rd video from their 3rd studio album - how do you like that? 3-3-3 must mean something in numerology! As promised, here is the WORLD PREMIER of the brand new video by the one and only Karmacoda from the capital of creativity, San Francisco. “Make Like Mine” hails from the band’s 2007 album, Illuminate, and is one of my personal faves. This breathtaking video was created by Luiz Otavio Feldens, who also did their previous video for “Skylines.” I am so proud to bring this video to you, I am bursting!

Adam Curry just played “Our Song” on his Daily Source Code Fubar Friday Edition this week on my recommendation. I’d been trying to turn him onto Beth Hirsch’s Podsafe Music Network page for a few weeks and finally hit upon the perfect track from her new album, Wholehearted, for his show. Luckily, Beth was gracious enough to grant this song podsafe status for Adam’s use. As an added twist to the story, I sent my 2nd request to Adam via his Official Musicologist, Jersey Todd, whom I suspected would love Beth, as well. Looks I was right on both counts! Now, the funny part of the story is that after all my finagling, that nut Adam told his audience the song request came via “the incredibly desirable but ever unreachable Anji Bee.” Huh?
Beth is an amazing singer/songwriter and I absolutely love her new album! I’m a big supporter of her music on The Chillcast and want to spread the love. If you haven’t heard it already, be sure to check out my Beth Hirsch interview feature from last October, or the Chillcast Video Edition featuring Beth Hirsch from December. If you’re into music production yourself, you might want to take a crack at the Acid Planet Beth Hirsch Remix Contest for “Our Song. But whatever you do, be sure to check out Wholehearted on eMusic. And speaking of eMusic, check out eMusic.com/chillcast for a special 14 day trial and 35 songs downloads free as part of my new Chillcast sponsorship!
The April 2nd “100% Podsafe” issue of iProng Magazine features a hefty little interview with me, Anji Bee, discussing Lovespirals, going podsafe, getting into podcasting, music licensing, live performance vs studio recording, and much more. Also included this issue is a great article on eMusic vs Amazon downloads, interviews with fellow podsafe artists Geoff Smith and Natalie Gelman, and a feature article with Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes, who recently released their new single to the Podsafe Music Network. By the way, you can check out tons of Lovespirals tracks on the PMN for use on podcasts, internet radio, Second Life DJ sets, and more!
The Chillcast presents the best new podsafe music, hosted by "the sexiest voice in podcasting," Anji Bee of Lovespirals. Chill out to a smooth mix of electronica, jazz, soul, and world music each week - plus special interview features, video editions, extended DJ mixes, and CD contests. Every week Anji picks a Featured Artist free mp3 download too!
"Anji Bee has the sexiest voice in podcasting!"
-- Adam Curry of Daily Source Code
"Anji's sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet voice... I remember the first time I ever heard her, way back in the day, I said she could read me a Chinese menu or the phone book and I would be all happy!"
-- C.C. Chapman of Accident Hash
"Anji's voice wouldn't be out of place in a smoky jazz or blues bar somewhere down in a dimly lit cellar. Sultry with a voice like syrupy silky satin with a marshmallow middle and a honey topping."
-- Most Recognizable Voices in Podcasting, Sept. 2007
"Cosiness abounds as the silken voiced Anji Bee - lead singer of chillout band Lovespirals - pours a cocktail of mellow dance music. Mmm..."
-- Radio Times, July 2007
"If you're looking for a different brand of 'grown and sexy' in the podcast world, check out Anji Bee. This young lady is bringing it - from production, to her voice, to the music selection - she is doing her thazizzle!"
-- Fave of Friday Favecast
"No other voice in the podosphere is more sultry than Anji Bee."
-- Macedonia, Radio BSOTS
"Anji Bee, a musician and former radio DJ, gives "stage" to artists who might not otherwise be discovered. Bee's podcast exposes me to independent artists I've never heard of, and subscribing to it eliminates the need to forage for new music."
- La Shawn Barber's Corner
"Enjoying The Chillcast. It's seriously awesome. I listen to them like over and over again."
-- Julien Smith of In Over Your Head
"I just love the tunes Anji Bee selects and her comments on them. I no longer have to search for music to be creative; I just susbcribe to The Chillcast."
-- Karen of Rumor Girls
"Like having a cocktail of lovely tunes and honey poured directly into your ear. Well-chosen music, voice links that make you feel cosy inside, it all adds up to an essential weekly download."
-- Good Podcast Guide, Nov 2006
"If you're in the mood for chillout music, this should be your first stop. Her voice alone is the perfect complement for a long drive or any escape from the hectic rush of everday life. You're gonna love it."
