For my first official show on Machine.FM, I’m going old school. Today’s one hour set is very laid back, with some classic downtempo, chill out, and trip hop tunes – many with an organic feel – mixed in with the more contemporary electronica genres. There’s a mix of vocal and instrumental tracks, though you know me, I always focus on lyrics… This one is kinda sexy with just a hint of sadness. I dunno if there’s more beautifully ambient infused tunes coming out right now, or if my ears are just more attuned to hear them, but whatever the truth is, I’ve got another lovely one hour mix filled with super chilled beats and grooves with gorgeous vocals sprinkled throughout. I’m back with a continuation of the chillstep, drum n bass, and emotive dubstep theme of my last episode. Something about the cold weather makes me crave these darker, more ambient vibes. Today’s set is filled with aching vocals and melancholic melodies with icy pianos and heart tugging strings.
