I’ve been wanting to do some more conversational Skype podcasts like the two I did with Julien Smith (Chillcast/In Over Your Head Special and Chillcast/In Over Your Head Special #2). Turned out that fellow podsafe musician and podcaster, Matthew Ebel, had some time to kill this week while chillin’ in Boston, so we thought it’d be fun to hook up for an informal chat about our common interests - music and podcasting, as well as everything that goes along with doing those things full time. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did recording it, and I look forward to your feedback on the idea of me doing Skypecasts more regularly. (BTW, I sure was tempted to call this the High Chill Special…)
Warning: a teensy bit of naughty language sneaks in here and there…
Checked out CocaCola’s Virtual Thirst Pavilion at the Crayonville Amphitheatre in Second Life. I love the vintage truck display. Heard Matthew Ebel’s classic podsafe track, “Drive Away,” while sitting inside the truck - good call! Britney, Lynette, and CC himself all showed up while I was there, which was cool. Got some pix and threw them up on Flickr. CC got some nice shots, as well. I asked him if there will be a party in the pavilion. With all the bubbly Coke cans, it would be quite festive!
I think you can watch the sun go down behind me this week as I chat about Twitter, podcaster crushes, Matthew Ebel, Second Life, taxes, my noisy neighbor, my new superfan, breaking my Unwind legend, Lovespirals news, PodCruise, PME, and live performance nerves. OH don’t forget to Bum Rush the Charts 3/22/2007 - whenever that is wherever you are watching this!
Hung out with Britney and The Diva last night at the Matthew Ebel - aka “Hali Heron” - show at the Hummingbird in Second Life. Wow! He really gives it his all when he performs! It’s crazy to be watching a giant bird in a white tux make that music. He’s completely charming in between songs, too, always mentioning the tippers by name and responding to chat threads. Total pro, all the way. I think he’ll definitely be featured on the next Unwind. Oh, check out my new SL glasses! They look just like my RL glasses.
This was just too fun! Saw Britney’s chatter on Twitter about meeting up with TheDiva, Lynnete, and Madison at Crayon and couldn’t resist popping in! Seriously, I am leaving my computer and the house for awhile today. Now!

-- C.C. Chapman of Accident Hash
"Anji's voice wouldn't be out of place in a smoky jazz or blues bar somewhere down in a dimly lit cellar. Sultry with a voice like syrupy silky satin with a marshmallow middle and a honey topping."
-- Most Recognizable Voices in Podcasting, Sept. 2007
"Cosiness abounds as the silken voiced Anji Bee - lead singer of chillout band Lovespirals - pours a cocktail of mellow dance music. Mmm..."
-- Radio Times, July 2007
"If you're looking for a different brand of 'grown and sexy' in the podcast world, check out Anji Bee. This young lady is bringing it - from production, to her voice, to the music selection - she is doing her thazizzle!"
-- Fave of Friday Favecast
"No other voice in the podosphere is more sultry than Anji Bee."

"Enjoying The Chillcast. It's seriously awesome. I listen to them like over and over again."

-- Good Podcast Guide, Nov 2006
"If you're in the mood for chillout music, this should be your first stop. Her voice alone is the perfect complement for a long drive or any escape from the hectic rush of everday life. You're gonna love it."
