Hung out with Britney and The Diva last night at the Matthew Ebel – aka “Hali Heron” – show at the Hummingbird in Second Life. Wow! He really gives it his all when he performs! It’s crazy to be watching a giant bird in a white tux make that music. He’s completely charming in between songs, too, always mentioning the tippers by name and responding to chat threads. Total pro, all the way. I think he’ll definitely be featured on the next Unwind. Oh, check out my new SL glasses! They look just like my RL glasses.

Welcome to episode 2! I’ve got a mellow mix of Podsafe Music Network artists selected for your listening pleasure. So just lay back, close your eyes, and prepare to unwind… Oh wait – interesting coincidence; just after recording the episode I ran into Suzanne! I hadn’t seen her in well over a year. Now on to the show!

Chillcast Episode 57: European Mix
[audio:http://media.podshow.com/media/142/episodes/54426/thechillcast-54426-03-19-2007_pshow_62123.mp3]
I announced this as an “extremely international mix” but just realized it’s truly a great European mix of upbeat tunes. England, Austria, Germany, Poland, and Sweden are all representing! This episode also boasts an even mix of male and female vocals. Oh, and just as I predicted, Karmacoda got their interview answers back to me tonight! Man, that Twitter is addictive…

Little getaway to an old hangout
Had a nice trip down memory lane yesterday, strolling on the Redondo Beach Pier with Ryan. Hadn’t been there in ages! I think the pier has been completely rebuilt since last I visited; I seem to recall an aged wooden pier while now it’s virtually all concrete. Still, the rad old-school game place is intact, packed full of antique games as well as newer ones. From wooden horse races to electronic dance pads, the whole history of public game machines is there! I played a few rounds of skee ball, a rip roaring fun game of air hockey, and tried my hand (or should say “feet”?) at a new fangled dance game – boy did I stink at that! It was so foggy down there that I felt like I had taken a trip up north somewhere, like Santa Cruz. Also checked out a few of filming locations from The OC, like the “The Pier Diner” and “The Bait Shop”. (That’s it in back there below…) Fun times!

Julien Smith on City News

Ryan just forwarded me this video of Amber Mac interviewing Julien Smith about Homeless Nation. Boy, is he jealous of Jules! Ryan actually asked Julien if he’d met Amber when they met at PME last year. Hee hee hee. Good interview, too. Mr. Smith is not only the real thing, but a true star. 🙂
Anji Riel’s Second Life

Logged into Second Life a few times this week. Attended the Dean Koontz reading yesterday, chillin’ at the Crayonville amphitheater. Every time I see CC in game, there’s too much going on for us to really chat, and then the event is over and he logs out. Sigh. I always meet someone cool when he’s around though! This time it was a vintage designer who liked my hair, and a gal name Absolut Smirnov who runs a vintage themed event, called Rivers of Venus, Sundays at 4pm. I’m going to try to stop by soon.
Chillin’ with Anji Bee #24
Ooh, Anji in the daylight! Topics include superfans, to wishlist or not, taxes suck, my couch is thrashed, Comp USA is going down, Jamo rocks, decaying antique shoes smell bad, “Pop Goes My Heart” made Music and Lyrics worth seeing, what am I doing and why do you watch this, interviewing Causeway and Karmacoda — and who knows what else?

[audio:http://media.podshow.com/media/6937/episodes/54005/lovelyladies-54005-03-15-2007_pshow_61672.mp3]
Got some great feedback last time I shared Lovely Ladies with the Chillcast subscribers, so I couldn’t resist sharing this one, too, particularly since it includes several electronica or crossover electro-pop goodies! There are some fantastic voices this episode and a nice range of moods and tempos. Love it.

Anji joins Twitter. And why not?
Cali convinced me to join Twitter during the taping of our last episode of ShowGirls. I noticed that Share also joined! I have no idea how often I’ll post, but my first few minutes were pretty exciting. Hee hee hee…

I love CC.
