Upcoming Lovespirals Second Life Events

Lovespirals in SL

There will be two Second Life events going on next week on PodShow/SoHo Island for the official release of Lovespirals’ Long Way From Home CD. First is a listening party for both the new album and the Motherless Child EP on Tuesday, October 23rd at 7pm SLT. Then, on Saturday, October 27th, Lovespirals will perform for the first time in Second Life, also at 7 pm SLT on PodShow/SoHo Island. Ryan “Lumley” and Anji “Riel” will play an acoustic set of songs from all 3 Lovespirals albums. If you haven’t yet joined Second Life, now would be the time to do it! Lovespirals live events are few and far between…

New Lovespirals song on Projekt 200 comp

Projekt 200 “Empty Universe” from Lovespirals’ upcoming CD, Long Way From Home is included on the boxed set compilation, Projekt 200. A celebration of the 200th release for indie label, Projekt, the 3 era 3 CD set includes 32 songs from the label’s 24 year history, including cuts from Chillcast featured artists Soul Whirling Somewhere, Autumn’s Grey Solace, and Love Spirals Downwards. This limited edition collection will be available in stores Sept 25th, but you can buy it online from projekt.com now.

Lovespirals on MoShang’s new release

Asian Variations MoShang just released a full length remix compilation entitled, ‘Asian Variations,’ as a free Creative Commons download via asianvariations.com. The 14 track collection includes his “No Place Like Home” remix of Lovespirals’ new single, “Motherless Child,” from their upcoming October 2007 album. You can also stream or download just this track from myspace.com/anjibee or myspace.com/lovespirals, and podcasters can add it to their playlists via Lovespirals’ Podsafe Music Network Page. Plans are underway to release a digital only EP of “Motherless Child” remixes, so watch for news at lovespirals.com!

Motherless Child Hungry Lucy RemixThere’s a new song streaming in my Anji Bee MySpace player. It’s the brand spanking new Hungry Lucy remix of the unreleased Lovespirals song, “Motherless Child.”

4 bands were invited to remix our rendition of this classic anonymous blues song, including Hungry Lucy, Karmacoda, MoShang, and Beauty’s Confusion. We hope to release a digital single on iTunes with all 4 remixes, plus a special Lovespirals remix, sometime over the next 2 months. Stay tuned to lovespirals.com for details!

Relay for Life in Second Life Saturday

I’ll let my friends working on organization for the event tell the story:

On July 28/29, on 30 sims, avatars of all shapes and sizes will be participating in the virtual Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society. Last year, over $40,000 USD was raised to help fund research to find a cure. This year, that number is sure to shatter, with the number of sims (islands) expanded exponetially.

I was feeling a bit shy about this week’s mid-week special Chillcast featuring songs from my personal archive of vocal collaborations, but that was nothing as compared to how I feel about this podcast! For better or worse, I share my “first time” story on Let’s Get Naughty Episode 39. Yup. I also talk about a bunch of other stuff I’d never talk about on my own podcasts or vidcast.
