Well its that time of the year, my loyal listeners, that time of the year we spread holiday cheer. Every year I think I won’t find enough new holiday music to make a set, but once again, I found a ton of new tracks for all of your holiday get-togethers. Excitingly, 11 songs are free downloads, check out the shownotes for links! This set flows from the serious and sublime to the downright silly, with a  mix of traditional and contemporary sounds — and not all of it is strictly electronica. Nearly everyone included has been featured on The Chillcast before, and some of them are regulars, like Karmacoda, who open up the show with a brand new song released free to their fans this week. Anji and Ryan sit down together to share all of Lovespirals latest doings. They open the show chatting about the Junip and Sheryl Crow shows they attended last week, including their thoughts on Sheryl’s album, 100 Miles From Memphis, produced and co-written by their favorite guitarist/vocalist/songwriter, Doyle Bramhall II. The duo also give an update on production of the new Anji Bee album, and working on new song as Lovespirals,  plus collaborations with The Grooveblaster and Bart of Audra. Anji discusses the new video for “Believe,” the behind-the-scenes Future Past photoshoot video, and Chillcast Video show. Ryan introduces the official launch of Anji’s Goodies, a food blog with Anji’s vegan recipes and tips, as well as an update to Ryan’s personal blog.The biggest news is Lovespirals’ Sony ACIDplanet remix contest for “Feel So Good” — the band closes out the show with a great remix by 7 Day Visa.

Somehow I managed to say “fantastic” no less than 3 times in the intro of today’s show and I decided that wasn’t half-bad as the subtitle. I’m going with an ever-so-slightly more ambient mix of tunes, with dashes of dream pop, and plenty of downtempo and chillout vibes. Chillin’ with Audra

This weekend I got a chance to hang out with friends and fellow former Projekt Records label-mates, Audra. I hadn’t seen brothers Bart and Bret Helm (also of Black Tape for a Blue Girl) in years! They drove down from Arizona ( along with their drummer, Jason) to play a show at Club Eterno, in Los Angeles, on Saturday night. This was the first time I had heard their post-Projekt material from their latest album, Everything Changes. The band have definitely evolved their sound over the past few years, with a slightly more aggressive edge and more of a rock feel. Their live set was very confident, too. Check out this video I shot of their new song, “Syd Barrett.”
