I’m back in town and gearing up for the release of my new album with several Second Life events! This week is a chill mix with lots of down home style guitar, inspired by my long road trip through fields and mountains. I’ve also got the winners of the MoShang contest and news about the Beth Hirsch feature!
There will be two Second Life events going on next week on PodShow/SoHo Island for the official release of Lovespirals’ Long Way From Home CD. First is a listening party for both the new album and the Motherless Child EP on Tuesday, October 23rd at 7pm SLT. Then, on Saturday, October 27th, Lovespirals will perform for the first time in Second Life, also at 7 pm SLT on PodShow/SoHo Island. Ryan “Lumley” and Anji “Riel” will play an acoustic set of songs from all 3 Lovespirals albums. If you haven’t yet joined Second Life, now would be the time to do it! Lovespirals live events are few and far between…
The show is going up early this week so I can promote the Karmacoda & FM Fatale gig tomorrow night at Hotel Utah in San Francisco! I’ve got the winners of the Scion Ninja Tunes Mix CD contest and another great CD contest, plus more great tunes and news.

Lovespirals are the featured artist on this week’s PodShow Radio. Host, Brent Bradley, presents 43 minutes of podsafe Lovespirals tunes selected from all 3 albums, including our brand new single, “This Truth.” Ryan and I also give a little background on why and how we recorded our cover of “Motherless Child.” It’s a very smooth production you won’t want to miss!
Ryan and I will be attending the New Media Expo for our 2nd year. I suppose most people don’t think of Ryan as a podcaster, but he is my co-host on the Chillin’ with Lovespirals: Insights of an Indie Band podcast. CC and Karen have both commented on his great voice, which I find to be quite distinct. But even if you don’t recognize his voice, you can’t possibly miss the 6′ 5″ guy with really long hair and exotic baby face wandering around with me. Come up and say “hi” to us, we’re quite friendly and we will have copies of our brand new CD with us, which we’ll be happy to autograph and sell you for the low low Expo price of just $10.00. 😀 We’ll be at the ExtemePods & RumorGirls party tonight, so if you’re going — we’ll see ya there!
We’ve got the winners of last week’s Karmacoda CD contest and another fantastic CD contest with Miss Natalie Walker, plus more great tracks that are guaranteed to soothe you and groove you. Next week I’ll be off at the New Media Expo to accept our People’s Choice Podcast Award for ShowGirls, but I’ll still try to get ya a Chillcast on time.
After 2 bigs Starbucks’ mochas, the band are super amped to share the latest news and stories including Anji’s iMac pooping out amidst the flurry of promotion for Long Way From Home, the answer to Anji’s vidcast question “will they click it?”, news of the preorder 2 for 1 special, our very first order for the new CD, the first public Anji Bee sighting, our fun weekend of updating lovespirals.com and chillcuts.com, our first CD review — from CC Chapman, Anji chosen as 6th most recognizable voice in podcasting, and we play the entire Lovespirals remix of “Motherless Child” from the completed Motherless Child EP. Props to RadioSpeljmr!
This week is an amazing mix of some of the cream of the crop of female vocals! All new releases – including a sneak peek at my own brand spankin’ new remix EP. PLUS a Karmacoda CD contest – woo hoo! A very special thanks to all of the bands, their labels, and management for providing this great lineup of tunes!!!
