Chillcast #293: Three Three Three

Now I know the episode number listed here is #293, but in actuality, this is my 333rd Chillcast posted to the Mevio Network. Kinda intriguing, huh? OK, not half as intriguing as the lineup I’ve got this week, which includes some pretty amazing legal free downloads from really great artists. This is a pretty classic lineup this week, with a lot of variety, from laid back and loungey, to upbeat electropop, both instrumental and vocal, with a little glitch here, a little retro 80’s vibe there, and plenty of chill in-between. Chillcast Video #71: Boom Clap Bachelors

This week’s musical guest is the Danish musical collective, Boom Clap Bachelors. “Løb Stop Stå” features Quadron vocalist, Coco O., who stars in the video. Coco is also featured on the new solo album by fellow band member, Vindahl, who I featured earlier this month on Chillcast Video. This track hails from the Mellem Dine Laeber EP, released by Plug Research Music in April of this year. The video was directed by Daniel Kragh-Jacobsen, who made it available as a free download on Vimeo. The song is also a free download on SoundCloud. I’ll be featuring it on The Chillcast with Anji Bee episode #291. Check out more links below the vid!

Chillcast #291: The Cure

Continuing on from last week’s darker theme, today’s show has a bit of a gothic flavor, filled with melancholy. This week’s musical guest is Copenhagen musician/vocalist/producer, Vindahl. Part of the musical collective, Boom Clap Bachelors, he recently released his first solo album on Tokyo Dawn Records. The 2nd single from Serendipity is a collaboration with Swedish pop star, Jenny Wilson. Let’s check out the Jeppe Kolstrup directed video for my favorite song from the album, “The Question.” Be forewarned, its not safe for work… This video was released by Playground Music. Chillcast #286: Tokyo Dawn

This week I have a special treat for you on The Chillcast. I’m focusing in on Frankfurt Germany label, Tokyo Dawn Records, for the full hour. A few days ago I was stoked to receive a stack of their recent releases on CD format in my P.O. Box, so I’ve been diving into their catalog ever since.
