In case you haven’t been following my complaints on Facebook or Twitter, I am sick. Boo! But I still took the time to put together an extra special show filled to the brim with LOVE. There were so many great songs that I wanted to share with you that I included a whole half hour extra. The DJ mix styled show (no talking between tracks) is about 50/50 chilled downtempo and upbeat dance tunes featuring oodles of lovely female vocals with romantic lyrics. This has been a really unusual week. I started it out in the desert sweating from a heatwave and ended it by the coast shivering in the wind. Somehow the music in today’s Chillcast is a bit hot and cold, as well. The dance grooves are quite gentle, though the emotions are strong. I didn’t plan it purposely, but there seems to be quite a few breakup songs in the mix. But don’t worry, far from being depressing, the overall feel of this mix is sensual and lush. Its been a really busy week or so over here at Chillcast central, as I’ve been preparing for the big Lovespirals and Karmacoda show in San Francisco Friday night.
