Well its the dreaded Tax Day here in the good ole USA as I record the show and type up the shownotes for ya. Like many of my fellow Americans, I got rocked by Uncle Sam. My only consolation now is great new music and awesome free downloads, and luckily I’ve got both of those in spades! This has been a really unusual week. I started it out in the desert sweating from a heatwave and ended it by the coast shivering in the wind. Somehow the music in today’s Chillcast is a bit hot and cold, as well. The dance grooves are quite gentle, though the emotions are strong. I didn’t plan it purposely, but there seems to be quite a few breakup songs in the mix. But don’t worry, far from being depressing, the overall feel of this mix is sensual and lush. Look forward to both female and male vocal tunes as well as a few instrumentals. And don’t forget to grab the great free downloads provided by some of the bands below!
Today’s one hour mix will help keep you in a state of focus with its nice blend of instrumentals and vocals. The first half is more chillout oriented while the second half is an upbeat blend of dance and trance tunes. Once again, all the tunes are brand new for 2010. The whole show is composed from special permissions tracks sent in from the artists and labels, so there’s only one free download, but its a goodie, so be sure to grab it!
