Trying to get back on that First Friday show schedule for you guys… I’ve got some great new tunes from SoundCloud and related download sites that I think will get you in the weekend chillzone. A few of these are leftovers from my Valentine’s Day search, but a couple just dropped this week. You can grab individual downloads care of my SoundCloud playlist at: https://soundcloud.com/chillcast/sets/
My first mix for 2017 features 10 brand new tracks culled from SoundCloud. Even the 2016 tracks are pretty recent. As always I start it out slow and sexy, building up the vibes as we go along. Lots of future beats and bass with plenty of hip hop and r&b vibes and a splash of pop EDM. There’s a couple remixes, notably Tarro’s mix of THEY. a fun remix of Ed Sheeran’s new hit, and a killer mashup by Autograf in honor of Pres Obama. Lots of vocal based tunes today — and it’s def NSFW. Have a great weekend, peeps and happy new year to ya!
What were my most listened to tracks on 2016? I count down my top 20 tunes, most of which have been featured on the show previously. I made sure not to play the same artist or remixer twice to spread the love around. Gotta say, this was an excellent year for music and not all of my faves made the cut. I figured letting iTunes tell me what I actually played most was the most democratic way to put this badboy together. There’s a lot of moody tracks in here, with sexy beats and sensual grooves, some with full vocals and others not. We’ve got a couple remixes and plenty of original songs. I hope you dig it as much as I do! See you in 2017.

As promised, I put together a one-hour special feature on my debut solo album, ‘Love Me Leave Me.’ Let me guide you through the album song by song, sharing my behind-the-music stories, as well as early recordings, demo, and remixes. Come get up close and personal with me!
It is with great pleasure that I present a very special 1-hour interview feature on Swedish singer/songwriter/producer, Ernesto! He just released his 4th full-length album, Suffice Suffice, and I’m excited to share songs from this highly personal artistic effort with you. As a huge fan of his work, it was a joy to speak with him about his musical background, songwriting and recording history, personal beliefs, and the process of putting this album together. Jonatan is quite intelligent and well spoken, as well as an incredibly talented songwriter and soulful singer, so you are in for a treat!
Boy did this week fly by! I’ve been super duper busy, working on a bunch of new music with various collaborators. I don’t have anything to share with you yet but if you’re into my work, please follow me over at facebook.com/anjibeemusic to keep up with all the latest news. There’s been a lot of really nice releases featuring female vocals coming in lately, so I thought I’d just focus in on some of those in this week. I’m spanning quite a few genres yet again, but I keep it pretty chill for the most part. 7 of these tracks are free downloads; check the links below. Enjoy!

Singer/songwriter, Paul Mac Innes, is the focus of this week’s special Chillcast artist feature. Paul and I chat about all of his various musical projects and collaborations as we peruse his catalog of tunes from 2005 to the present day. As an extra special treat, Paul shares a brand new unreleased Psaul project track with us. Paul and his projects, Favorite Flava and Psaul, are all very generous with their music, so be sure to check out the legal free downloads linked to in the show notes. And if you dig those tunes, be sure to purchase more music to support the artists.
This week I present my second artist feature with San Francisco band, Karmacoda. This time around we actually met up in Chillcast studio to chat live and in-person about their 4th album, Eternal, released last month. We had a really great time, which I think you’ll be able to hear in our conversation. Since we already got into the band’s history and past releases in my 2007 Chillcast Karmacoda artist feature, this time we focused solely on their new material. I close out the show with the premier of their brand new live acoustic recording of “Feel The Weight” — watch for the video on the next Chillcast Video!

The Chillcast features a sexy and sophisticated mix of calming, chill podsafe music, hosted by Anji Bee. The station plays a blend of Electronica, Jazz, Soul, and New Age music.
