Just a quick lil update this week as I’ve been insanely busy preparing to release my new album. Worried about “cursing” anything, I don’t give many specific details but I do share some recent personal news like my sexy new room, watching the lunar eclipse, reading On the Road: The Original Scroll, and hooking up with Clarence - again!
The Podsafe Music Countdown Top 10 podcast for August 5th included the Moosefrog & Anji Bee collaboration “New Life” at the #7 position, which was a cool surprise. The August 26th episode features the “bonus track” of Lovespirals’ “Motherless Child,” with a special intro and outro recorded by yours truly. You can help me rise in the charts by playing my music on your podcast, or requesting me to your favorite podcasters. You’ll find loads of podsafe tracks on the Lovespirals Podsafe Music Network page, and my Anji Bee Podsafe Music Network page. Thanks for your support!
An eclectic mix of moody tunes from CD sent in by bands, labels, and show listeners! Lots of lovely female vocals and one dreamy male vocal for contrast. PLUS a Ninja Tune Mix CD contest!

It’s a redcast this week as I record my first episode with my new audio setup in my freshly painted red room. I’m particularly chatty this week, dropping fan names right and left, showing you all the CDs I play on the upcoming Chillcast, as well as the updated Lovespirals digipac artwork, and my Helltastic t-shirt. I also re-announce the interactive contest Ryan and I first announced on Chillin’ with Lovespirals #39 - please, please enter that if you get a chance! More on the “Motherless Child” remix EP, going all digital, ShowGirls #9, my JibJab video and more. Other peeps mentioned are Corey Dennis, Zack Daggy, Joey of Scout. Chris Caulder, and Baratunde. You have no idea how much trouble this episode was… Ugh!
The girls are back at long last! Discussion of ShowGirls’ podcast award win, Elton John’s internet tirade, Skype shutdown, Dave Winer’s celebrity status, summer updates and latest news from hostesses Cali Lewis of GeekBrief, Soccergirl, KFC of PodChick, Karla & Karen of Rumor Girls and me, Anji Bee.

"Anji's voice wouldn't be out of place in a smoky jazz or blues bar somewhere down in a dimly lit cellar. Sultry with a voice like syrupy silky satin with a marshmallow middle and a honey topping."

"Cosiness abounds as the silken voiced Anji Bee - lead singer of chillout band Lovespirals - pours a cocktail of mellow dance music. Mmm..."

"Like having a cocktail of lovely tunes and honey poured directly into your ear. Well-chosen music, voice links that make you feel cosy inside, it all adds up to an essential weekly download."
