Today’s musical guest is Moscow trio, Triangle Sun, with a gorgeously dreamy video for “Beautiful” from the band’s debut double album, Diamond, recently re-released by Tyranno Lounge Records. Anji Bee on Bloody Mary Release

It may be a well-kept secret but the Jin Choi remix of Bloody Mary‘s recent single, “Arabesque,” features an ethereal vocal sample of Anji Bee culled from the CC Mixter “Freedom to Share” Remix event. The excellent Arabesque EP, originally a Beatport exclusive, is now available on iTunes and Amazon, as well as other digital music stores. You can read more about the project on the Beatportal Taste Test, where DJ Bloody Mary lists Jin Choi’s RMX in her Top 3 songs for November 2010. New York recording project Dive Index are back for the 3rd time on Chillcast Video with their new video for ‘Agatha (feat. Patrick Cooper).’ This song hails from the band’s second full-length album, The Surface We Divide, released late October 2010. Chillcast #249: All New

One might argue that today’s show is the first real episode of 2011 for The Chillcast with Anji Bee. Unlike last week’s collection of my Chillcast Favorites of 2010 (aka Top 20 of 2010), this episode is composed of all new music. I’ve got some brand new releases, additional tracks from a few late-2010 releases, and one or two releases that slipped by me until just recently. All in all, it’s a great little mix with lots of great vocals in a sweet array of moods and styles. Plus there’s several truly excellent free downloads! Oh, and something I forgot to mention; January 9th was the 5th Anniversary of the very first recorded episode of the Chillcast — under the original name “The Chillcuts Chillcast.” More on that soon…

Chillin’ with Lovespirals #81: Remix Winner

Anji and Ryan of Lovespirals have selected the Grand Prize winner and Honorable Mention of the Sony ACIDplanet Remix Contest for “Feel So Good”! We know that 40 some producers have been anxiously awaiting our decision since December 28, while we’ve been sorting through all of their entries. Turns out there were several really solid mixes and plenty of great musical ideas! Once again, we thought we’d make our winner’s announcement with a podcast, so we could share a bunch of our faves with the fans and give the producers our thoughts on their tracks. The remixes are presented in no particular order, aside from the winner and runner-up; the Grand Prize Winner is presented first and the Honorable Mention is presented last. The grand prize winner will receive a copy of ACID Pro, 5 ACID loop libraries plus all 4 Lovespirals albums on CD, and will be featured on an upcoming new remix single for “Feel So Good.” Hopefully several other mixes from this list will be included in that, as well. Chillcast Video #50: Flight Facilities

The first musical guest on Chillcast Video for 2011 is the Australian production duo, Flight Facilities. One of the more intriguing projects of 2010 was certainly “Crave You” featuring Giselle Roselli, and the official video for the original mix is sure to add to the song’s mystique. This video was produced by Moop Jaw, with direction by Rhett Wade-Ferrell and art direction by Kate Dougherty, and was conceived by Warran Wright.
