Lovespirals to Attend New Media Expo

Ryan and I will be attending the New Media Expo for our 2nd year. I suppose most people don’t think of Ryan as a podcaster, but he is my co-host on the Chillin’ with Lovespirals: Insights of an Indie Band podcast. CC and Karen have both commented on his great voice, which I find to be quite distinct. But even if you don’t recognize his voice, you can’t possibly miss the 6′ 5″ guy with really long hair and exotic baby face wandering around with me. Come up and say “hi” to us, we’re quite friendly and we will have copies of our brand new CD with us, which we’ll be happy to autograph and sell you for the low low Expo price of just $10.00. đŸ˜€ We’ll be at the ExtemePods & RumorGirls party tonight, so if you’re going — we’ll see ya there!

Oh! And I will be accepting a People’s Choice Podcast Award for my work with ShowGirls, on Friday at 4pm in Expo Hall B. Come meet the gals there!!!

It’s a redcast this week as I record my first episode with my new audio setup in my freshly painted red room. BTW, I went out and bought the Mbox Mini after recording and it kept kernal panicking my laptop so it looks like I’m taking it back to GuitarCenter for the FastTrack Pro. Anyone using that?

Anji Bee wins Podcast Award with Showgirls

Exciting news! ShowGirls, the conversational group podcast featuring me, the RumorGirls, Soccergirl, Cali Lewis, Share of Rock n Roll TV, and the PodChick, just won a People’s Choice Podcast Award! Interestingly, the podcast was inspired by the 7 female podcasters meeting at last year’s New Media Expo (previously called Portable Media Expo) where the awards ceremony take place. It will be a nice reunion for us this year as we get to accept our own award! Thanks to everyone who voted for us.

I must’ve had a subconscious aversion to turning 40 coz I totally announced this is “Episode 39.” *Sigh* Anyway, sorry for missing last week… I used some brand new music to make up for it! The time around I chat about my scandalous postman moment, how my new video iPod, chatting with Clarence, joining Twitter, and the People’s Choice Podcast Awards have had a positive effect on me, my Second Life avatar, Beth Hirsch playing New York shows, and Lovespirals remix news. This is the ShowGirls Episode I referred to. Looks like Franklin Ex changed their band name to The Glowering Eyes.
