Chillcast #294: Girls & Boys

This week I’ve got a chilled mix of downtempo, electropop, and deep house with both male and female vocals – sometimes even in duet. This set straddles the line between ambient and pop, if such a line even exists… It feels a bit wintry, but rest assured, there are no holiday songs. Chillcast #290: Darkly Pop

While putting together today’s play list I seem to have taken a bit of a dark turn. In this one hour set of often pop edged electronica tunes, there is quite a bit of darkness, but there’s also a lot of power. With generous helpings of old time blues and jazz amongst the uber  modern electronica productions, there are some very interesting contrasts going on. And did I mention there are tons of top notch artists included? With some amazing vocals? And bunches of free downloads, to boot? Enjoy!

Chillcast Video #61: Moby

Veteran of the New York club music scene and fellow vegan, Moby, has appeared on my podcast multiple times, but this is his debut on Chillcast Video. He recently made the official video for his recent single, “The Day,” available as a free download on the Moby Vimeo page in a sweet hi-res format. The Destroyed (Deluxe Edition) iTunes LP includes a behind-the-scenes video for “The Day” — as well as 3 videos Moby filmed himself using a camcorder. Oh, and yes, that is the actress Heather Graham in the video!

In celebration of the 5th Anniversary of The Chillcast with Anji Bee, Anji has compiled an hour long compilation, called 5 Years Of Chillin’, featuring brand new unreleased tracks by Chillcast regulars MoShang, Chill Factor-5, 7 Day Visa, Lovespirals (Bee’s band with partner, Ryan Lum) and Anji Bee, herself — plus hard to find tracks by Adam Fielding, Mr. Meeble, and The Grooveblaster, as well as a few favorite songs by Ernesto & Markus Z, Under, Science for Girls, Sunburn in Cyrpus, Kilbey-Kennedy, and Karmacoda.
