This week’s show is comprised mainly of songs sent in to me from artists that listen to The Chillcast. Very cool! The overall vibe is very classic old school Chillcast, I think. Put this up early for your Easter chillin’ enjoyment!
Recorded this last Thursday or Friday, a bit late getting it out… There are so many incredibly talented ladies this show that I am super pleased and delighted to share this with The Chillcast subscribers, as well. The wind is howling outside my windows, but this music makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. (Sorry Cat - saw you added phoentics to your PMN account now that so many of us podcasters mispronounced your name!)

Rather than simply type up my Top 20 podsafe picks for 2006, I figured I’d put together a special episode of The Chillcast so you can hear them yourself! It was actually pretty difficult to keep the list to just 20, I have to admit. The quality of podsafe music just keeps increasing as the weeks and months go by, and I’m sure there’s still more great tracks from 2006 left for me to discover in coming episodes. I’m definitely looking forward to the new crop of podsafe tracks of 2007!

“Things We Do” Soular SoundJazzflora 2 (2006 Dealers of Nordic Music)
“Little White Roses” Paul & PriceSounds Like Sex 2 (2006 RedCola)
Changing it up a bit this Chillcast… Melancholy indie pop goes so well with rainy winter weather. Lemme know what you guys think by hitting me back with a comment. Oh yeah, greetings to my newest hardcore fan, Lee, in London! Hardcore fans rule!!!
I really love this week’s lineup! Lovely and amazing songs that I’ve been secretly hoarding in my iTunes collection that must be shared. Prepare to fall in love, my friends…

"Anji Bee has the sexiest voice in podcasting!"
-- Adam Curry of Daily Source Code
"Anji's sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet voice... I remember the first time I ever heard her, way back in the day, I said she could read me a Chinese menu or the phone book and I would be all happy!"
-- C.C. Chapman of Accident Hash
"Anji's voice wouldn't be out of place in a smoky jazz or blues bar somewhere down in a dimly lit cellar. Sultry with a voice like syrupy silky satin with a marshmallow middle and a honey topping."
-- Most Recognizable Voices in Podcasting, Sept. 2007
"Cosiness abounds as the silken voiced Anji Bee - lead singer of chillout band Lovespirals - pours a cocktail of mellow dance music. Mmm..."
-- Radio Times, July 2007
"If you're looking for a different brand of 'grown and sexy' in the podcast world, check out Anji Bee. This young lady is bringing it - from production, to her voice, to the music selection - she is doing her thazizzle!"
-- Fave of Friday Favecast
"No other voice in the podosphere is more sultry than Anji Bee."
-- Macedonia, Radio BSOTS
"Anji Bee, a musician and former radio DJ, gives "stage" to artists who might not otherwise be discovered. Bee's podcast exposes me to independent artists I've never heard of, and subscribing to it eliminates the need to forage for new music."

"Enjoying The Chillcast. It's seriously awesome. I listen to them like over and over again."

"Like having a cocktail of lovely tunes and honey poured directly into your ear. Well-chosen music, voice links that make you feel cosy inside, it all adds up to an essential weekly download."
-- Good Podcast Guide, Nov 2006
"If you're in the mood for chillout music, this should be your first stop. Her voice alone is the perfect complement for a long drive or any escape from the hectic rush of everday life. You're gonna love it."
